Housing Program Overview
Goal: To advance the housing goals of individuals and families, ensuring they achieve safe, stable, and affordable housing options of their own.
Activities:
1. Affordable Housing:
Build and refurbish homes for Veterans, the elderly, the disabled, the less fortunate.
- Financial Literacy for Home Ownership:
- Provide workshops and one-on-one counseling to educate individuals on budgeting, saving, and managing finances to prepare for home ownership.
- Targeted Housing for Special Populations:
- Develop and offer housing solutions tailored to the needs of seniors, veterans, individuals living with HIV, and those aging out of foster care.
- Home Repair:
- Assist homeowners with necessary repairs to maintain safe and livable conditions, enhancing the stability and longevity of their homes.
- Energy Savings:
- Promote and facilitate the installation of energy-saving measures such as solar panels to reduce utility costs and support sustainable living.
- Hope for the Homeless:
- Conduct humanitarian outreach and organize celebrations for homeless individuals, providing essential resources and fostering a sense of community and hope.
